J'taran and Taloth
The next cavern is similar to most of the various weyrs you've visited already, but with one major difference. Half of the roof is missing! For about two hundred meters the cavern is just that, and then for another one hundred it turns into a sort of open balcony.
A young man, black hair caught in a pony at the nape of his neck and dark eyes flashing cheerily, approaches you. "Hey there. I'm J'taran, rider of bronze Taloth."
As if called, a beautiful bronze dragon appears and reaches his muzzle curiously towards the two of you.
After the usual exclamations about how magnificent he was, you ask J'taran about the unusual weyr.
"This was actually a mistake in the building of the whole Weyr," J'taran replies, indicating the missing roof. "Apparently they thought the rock went out further than it did and so they kept cutting, and it didn't. Obviously." He grins charmingly. "Anyway, I saw this place and I fell in love with it. I've never really liked the whole closed-in feeling you get in most caves, and this allows easier access to both fresh air and flying-space for Tal."
"Best of luck," you wish him, then reluctantly leave this enigmatic figure and his mistake of a weyr to continue with Hydee.
